It is easy to understand that not only the quality of the structure, but also the price will directly depend on the wood you will use for the interior of the sauna. In order for both sauna beds and paneling to look good for many years, we recommend choosing A-class wood with the highest quality. It is true that the quality is reflected in the price too - the shortest, about half a meter long, class A wood paneling can cost up to several Euros, while the price of 2-3 meter paneling can even reach 30-50 Euros.

Good news is that the Lithuanian wood species, which are usually used to build high-quality and inexpensive wooden saunas, usually do not have large price differences. Currently, the 3 most popular types of Lithuanian wood are linden, aspen or black alder. It is true that conifer wood, which is so popular everywhere, is avoided inside the sauna, because, due to their resinous, it is not suitable for equipping in a constantly heated room. If possible, we recommend choosing thermally treated paneling, which has the advantage of low absorbency.

It is worth emphasizing that more than one option is possible when installing the sauna floor. In general, wooden floors are often replaced with concrete ones - by placing wooden grates on them, because in this way water collection is installed in the floor quite easily, the floor is easier to maintain and, if necessary, even to replace it. In contrast to the entire installation of the sauna, conifer wood is often used for the floor or the grates placed on it. Although larch is the most durable of conifers, price makes pine or spruce a common choice. Since the temperature on the floor in the sauna is always much lower, you should not be afraid of conifer wood due to its resinous in this case. It is important to remember that gaps for water drainage are necessary when laying wooden floors, otherwise the floor may start to rot.

High-quality and inexpensive saunas are often characterized by an extremely simple and effective solution - a wooden floor with gaps that ensure high-quality ventilation of the sauna. Although the customers often reject this idea for fear of the cold, it should be estimated that due to the temperature difference the cold air entering through the gaps in the floor mixes with warm air and forces it to move, thus creating natural ventilation. Therefore, wooden saunas equipped with wooden floors can be adequately ventilated in a natural way. However, ventilation can also be installed using a fan for this purpose. In this case, it is recommended to install the opening above the sauna bed.

Finally, one more integral part of the sauna is the water source. In cases where there is no natural body of water near the structure, wooden saunas can be installed together with an integrated shower. According to the preliminary calculations, installing a shower in the sauna building could cost up to 600 euros. In this case it is necessary to bear in mind that if the sauna is rarely used in winter and the building is not heated, the water in the water supply can freeze at sub-zero temperature. For this reason, it is recommended not to forget to install a water drain system that allows you to remove water from the pipes after each usage of the sauna.
