We invest a lot of time thinking about children’s entertainment and their enjoyment at home. This example from Korea shows us how important is to consider the children when building a house.

Multifunctional wood constructions are installed very cleverly. Stairs and shelves slide into place to provide spaces to sit. Children would find this a safe place in which to play and use their imagination, and parents would enjoy it as a place for books or even just to brighten their spirits! Sliding down the stairs is much more fun than just walking down them.

The architects who created this house tell us that the family who ordered it comprised of two adults and their four children. The adults are both teachers in their late thirties. The most important thing they wanted in their new home was a place where their children could play, read and study. When we suggested this wooden construction they were very happy and agreed to have it in their house.
